PBS Centenary Dinner (Dress Code: Smart Casual)

The Pig Breeders Society of South Africa (PBS) was formed on 20 September 1919. From their first AGM held on the 19th of May 1921 and attended by no less than 56 members, the PBS spearheaded pedigree pig breeding in South and Southern Africa. The PBS has over the years adapted to change and migrated from classical pig breeding and shows to national performance testing and BLUP to the national footprint of pig breeding companies in the modern era of pig breeding. Hence in 2019, PBS is celebrating 100 years of pig stud breeding in South Africa – indeed a very special milestone.
* A ticket to the PBS Centenary Dinner is included in the symposium registration fee.
